Drinking alcohol.
I think it’s about hoping for a slightly better future.
Whether it’s exchanging cups to share joy, missing a drink on a chilly night, or wanting to tip a glass at the casual end of the day, hoping that the present moment and tomorrow will be a little better than today.
I have seen such a pleasant relationship between people and alcohol for many years, and I am able to do it because of this Tokachi.
I’ve come to realize that I want to make “alcohol that is close to life.”
Our ideal of making sake is to be able to fully feel the various expressions of “Tokachi” in a bottle.
It’s not just about using the natural bounty of Tokachi, but it’s also about expressing the “frontier spirit” of the people who cultivated the land in alcohol.
Frontier spirit, a beacon of hope for pioneers.
With the melting snow of the Tokachidake mountain range and the clear water of the Tokachi River as the source of life, the idea is to build a field in a wasteland and root human life in this land. Hope.
This feeling is the origin of human activities that are still being carried out here in the Tokachi Plain, and it must overlap with the “hope for a slightly better future” in our hearts as we live today.
May the life of someone who drank this drink be enriched and lifted just a little bit.
With these wishes in mind, we carefully make each bottle of sake in a small distillery in the middle of Tokachi Plain.
